Food Skills: Healthy Cooking on a Budget

Course Information

Working in partnership with Diabetes Canada, we are fortunate to be able to offer this is a great free program. In this six-week program, participants will learn how to cook a variety of different dishes including: 

  • Hummus
  • Kale Salad
  • Roasted Veggies
  • Quesadillas
  • Granola Bites
  • Veggie Fritters
  • Homemade Pizza
  • Apple Crisp

At the end of each session, the group will share a meal together. One week, the class will go on a field trip to the grocery store where they will learn about how to purchase food affordably. Because each member of the class will assist in the making of a meal each week, it is important that participants attend every session.

Location: Arrowsmith Hall, Coombs Fairgrounds - 1014 Ford Road, Coombs, BC 

Dates: Wednesdays, February 27 - April 10, 2019 (No class March 13)
