Join ACRA's talented and energetic instructor Caitlin Shoring as you learn to play the marimba. The marimba is an African style of wooden xylophone. The instrument creates a melodic and uplifting sound. When the soprano, tenor and bass marimbas join together, audiences are treated to a lovely and rich blend of sounds.
Caitlin will teach the group a series of African tunes by demonstrating the part and having the group follow along. All materials are provided. All you need to do is show up ready to learn and try something new.
Adult classes are open to anyone 16+. This class is cumulative, so please only sign up if you are able to attend all of the classes.
All instruments provided. No experience required. Come, learn, play and experience the joyful melodies of marimba.
Class sizes are limited to six participants. Please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
