Beyond Beginner  African Hand Drumming Classes 

This series is intended for adults who have previously taken our Beginner Hand Drumming class a few times and are ready to explore djembe drumming a little further. Under the excellent tutelage of Monica Hofer, participants will explore new rhythms and gain experience with the drum over the course of eight 45-minute classes.

The act of drumming is about more than creating rhythms. It is also about relieving stress, exercising your brain, and simply enjoying the energy of the drumming circle.

A limited number of rental drums are available for $5 per day. For all eight sessions, the cost of renting a drum would be $40. Rental drums cannot leave the facility. If you choose to bring your own drum, please ensure that it is a djembe.
