Brought to you by Arrowsmith Agricultural Association, with support from ACRA, this series offers youth aged 8-12 the opportunity to learn where their food comes from and how to prepare an entire meal, including dessert, from scratch.
Instructor, Monica Bradbury has 30 years of teaching experience and is passionate about food literacy and sustainability. Youth will learn how to use kitchen tools safely and cover a variety of food storage techniques including preservation, freezing and canning. The final day will conclude with the youth making and serving a meal for their families and the local community.
All supplies included.
This program is cumulative, and participants should plan on being present for all four dates.
