Intermediate Guitar

 Join Sterling and improve your playing and confidence! Sterling has been playing guitar for over 20 years and wants to share his passion for music and life with others.

Intermediate Guitar is intended for those who have already taken the Beyond Beginner Guitar program with Sterling. If you have not taken Beyond Beginner Guitar, but are interested and have some equivalent experience, you are welcome to sign up.

 To be on the same level as the other Intermediates, you should be able to:

• Play 10 - 15 chords, including Major, Minor, 7th and sustained (sus) chords
• Read chord diagrams and tablature
• Play chord progressions and a few songs with either a pick or your thumb
• Play more than a few different strumming patterns
• Keep rhythm
• Have knowledge of what chords sound good together and be able to make up your own chord progressions
• A general understanding of basic music theory

Sterling is on a mission to prove to you that with consistent practice and a willingness to learn, you will improve and thank yourself later. In this hands-on class, you'll learn to embellish chords, to play blues riffs and runs, and tackle a challenging song.  Sterling will demonstrate the part and have the group follow along. The course will include a very small amount of theory, but will primarily focus on practical learning.

Guitar Rentals: Available to take home and practice. $30 for 8 lessons.
